HIGH TIDE ALERT FOR TAMIL NADU’S COASTAL DISTRICTS

After the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) warned the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu about ‘high energy swell waves’, the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Agency has reportedly alerted the fishermen and public to be cautious while moving along the shore on Saturday and Sunday.
Commissioner for Revenue Administration and Relief, K Satyagopal said that the tidal waves are likely to hit the coastal districts, especially Ramanathapuram and Kanyakumari districts, from 8.30 am on Saturday to 11.30 pm on Sunday at an interval of 18 to 22 seconds.
