HEAVY RAIN IN TN? RAIN AND TRAFFIC UPDATES FOR CHENNAI AND SUBURBS!

North-East Monsoon is getting intense while a depression has been formed in the Arabian sea. Chennai and Tamil Nadu are witnessing heavy rainfall in the past few days .

It has also been reported that Tamil Nadu will experience heavy rainfall for the next two days.

In Tamil Nadu, Kanyakumari, Nellai, Madurai, Viruthunagar, Ramanadapuram, Pudukottai, Cudalore, Trichy, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Coimbatore, Vellore, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Pondy and karaikal may get heavy shower.

Chennai has been experiencing heavy to light shower in all parts of the city due to which traffic congestion is seen in certain areas. Locations like Nungambakkam, CMBT, Maduravoyal, Ponamallee, OMR, ECR, Velachery, Tharamani, Guindy, TNagar, and other suburbs can experience more traffic than usual due to rain. So it is best adviced for commuters to take alternative routes. It is also adviced to drive slow as vehicles may skid and potholes may cause disturbance as it might not be visible as roads could be filled with water.
