On hearing the verdict in the case relating to his daughter's rape and murder, the 7-year-old Hasini’s father broke down inconsolably. While meeting reporters outside the Court, he said, “Justice has been served. He is not a human being but a monster. No one should undergo what my daughter underwent. However, I will not get back my daughter”. The Chengalpet Mahila Court sentenced the 23-year-old Dhaswant to death.
