TAMIL NADU: DOCTORS REMOVE HALF KG HAIR, EMPTY SHAMPOO PACKETS FROM 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL'S STOMACH
Home > News Shots > Tamil NaduIn a shocking and bizarre case, a city hospital in Tamil Nadu removed more than half kg of human hair from a 13-year-old girl's stomach. Shocked doctors also removed plastic pieces like empty shampoo packets during the surgery.
As per India Today reports, the girl, who is a 7th standard student, always complained of stomach ache. After months of complaining the worried parents took her to the private VGM Hospital in the city.
After a scan, the doctors revealed that a ball like object was in the stomach which they decided to remove it by endoscopy. Following days of discussion, hospital chairman V G Mohanprasad decided to operate the girl and remove the foreign particles from the stomach.
Surgeon Gokul Kripashankar along with his team conducted the surgery and successfully removed the hair and the empty shampoo packets from her stomach, India Today further reported.
When media reached the hospital, Surgeon Gokul Kripashankar said that the girl was mentally upset due to the death of a close relative, which led to her consume objects like empty packets and hair. Further giving updates on the girl's health, he said she has recovered fully and is normal now.
