This comes amid reports which highlight that Chennai had only 90 containment zones in Mid- April whereas it has increased to 690 within a month. There has been an increase of almost 510 zones.
Health Department officials told the media that this number is likely to increase. Whereas, at the same time Greater Chennai Corporation is also simultaneously releasing list of non- containment zones.
Is the situation slipping back to normalcy? One has to wait further to hear from the state government.
