Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Sunday asserted that Amma canteens is a service oriented for the welfare of the poor. When asked about reports that the government was contemplating sizing down the number of the canteens in view of reported loss, Palaniswami said that the usage of the term 'loss' was not correct. "Government is giving funds and Amma Canteens are being run. There is no question of loss or profit," he said.
