Gayathri, aged 14, was reported dead in Neelankarai on Thursday after participating in a samosa-eating competition and drinking soft drinks immediately after. The girl studying in Class 10 fell unconscious after the competition and was declared dead after rushing to a hospital. A postmortem was requested to determine the reason for her death and aspects of suicide are also being considered by the police. Allegedly, marks of being tied up were seen by the doctors on her neck.
