After five days of free rides the Metro train resulted in popularising the mode of transportation, the Chennai Metro Rail has reportedly extended the free ride on Tuesday too.
While fare has been an issue, over the last three days the train was found jam-packed. More than 3.25 lakh passengers reportedly enjoyed the free trip between May 25 to May 28, a Metro spokesman said.
“We extended the free trip by one day. The free trip was announced only at 10 am,” said a Metro Rail spokesman, according to TNIE.
