The police reportedly arrested a gang of five in Chennai. The police recovered 40 sovereigns of gold and liquid cash of Rs. 3.85 lakhs. According to media reports, these men were involved in burglaries in the area of Koyambedu, Maduraivoiyil and J.J. Nagar. The Koyambedu police registered a case. One of the men was also engaged in two murder cases and was detained under the Goondas Act, a report says.
