Unidentified men posing as officials reportedly kidnapped businessmen in their car and robbed Rs 16 lakh worth foreign currencies from them at gunpoint near Alandur Railway Station. Reports say, five businessmen were on their way to Chennai airport to fly to Sri Lanka when the incident happened. They were later dropped off at different locations. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter with the help of CCTV footage.
