A panel formed to investigate the dumping of ash in Ennore Creek by North Chennai Thermal Power Station and Ennore Thermal Power Station has reportedly submitted an interim report saying the fish in the region contain more Cadmium and Lead than the permitted limits. The excess amount of these heavy metals, found in Prawn, Muringa and Brinjal, will affect the bone and brains, the panel reportedly said.
