A 57-year-old man died when a pile of crackers burst in Kaliamman Temple festival in Kadayalurutti village in Tirunelveli when a lit cracker fell on it. The man lit a cracker around 04:00 a.m., and it fell on a pile of crackers which exploded after catching fire. He died on the spot. Reportedly, three more people were injured and are under treatment in Intensive Care unit in a hospital. The investigation is going on, and the samples of fireworks were given for chemical analysis.
