Balakrishnan got married to Sundari and the couple was living in Nallakuppam Village located in Muthigai in Chengalpattu district.
On January 15 (Wednesday), Balakrishnan returned home after consuming heavy alcohol and had a rift with his wife Sundari. A disturbed Sundari went to his Mother's home in the nearby locality.
The drunken Balakrishnan lost his mind and began torturing his elder son. Meanwhile, the couple's younger son was playing with his friends outside and returned home to see his father chocking his brother with a rope.
Apparently the younger son was shocked to the core to see his drunken father's activities. Further, Balakrishnan attempted to hang himself. The younger son rushed to find his mother and bring her back to home.
When Sundari and her younger son returned back to home, both the father and elder son were hanging dead. Reports say that Balkrishnan took such extreme step because of some persistent family issue. The incident sent shockwaves to the family of Sundari and people in the locality.
