A travel firm owner was reportedly arrested on Wednesday for staging a kidnap of his own three-year-old son to extort money from his wife. Reports say, the man, Ravi Kumar informed his wife that unidentified men kidnapped their child on a two-wheeler. Later, he contacted his wife and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh to recover the child. He later took the money and brought the child home. However, police interrogation at Ayanavaram police station later revealed that the incident was staged, and Ravi Kumar has been arrested.
