A man identified as Manoj Kumar, hailing from Palani has reportedly been arrested by the Red Hills police for snatching the chain of a woman named Nithya who he had befriended on Facebook and regularly conversed with. He had visited Nithya’s house on February 8 and escaped after stealing her gold chain. Manoj Kumar is currently incarcerated in the Puzhal prison.
