The Indian Meteorological Department has reportedly issued flood and very high rainfall prediction for 12 Indian states, including Tamil Nadu. The IMD has predicted that the rainfall would be extreme to very high in the next three days and has issued advisory. While water levels of 14 main rivers are expected to raise up, situation in Tamil Nadu might worsen if it receives extreme rainfall, according to media reports.
