According to a TOI report, around 80 employees from a US-based company Sanmina protested outside the US consulate, on Tuesday. Reports say, the employees alleged that the company had fired four of its employees without citing any reason or prior notice. The management has reportedly been using contract employees since the employees launched a strike on November 21, which the employees claimed was ‘illegal’. Chennai police reportedly detained the protesting employees.
