A 50-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted a six-year-old speech impaired girl in Vellore on Monday. The incident reportedly took place when the girl was walking ahead of her grandmother and the man took advantage of the situation to lure the girl with biscuits and sexually assault her. The grandmother on hearing the screams of the girl, called for help and the public thrashed the assaulter on the spot. TOI reports say, the man was arrested under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act on Tuesday.
