The Election Commission has reportedly accepted the nomination papers of actor Vishal after he submitted proof that two of his proposers were threatened to claim that their signatures in nomination papers did not belong to them. Following the acceptance of his nomination, Vishal took to Twitter to express his happiness saying, "After much struggle, my nomination for the RK Nagar election is finally accepted.... Truth Always Triumphs !! #JusticeServed #DemocracyPrevails". He further thanked the Election Commission for conducting a fair investigation and accepting his nomination. Vishal's nomination was earlier rejected by the EC after several discrepancies were found in the nomination form.
