A 47-year-old daily wage worker reportedly burnt himself to death in a fire accident on Tuesday in Rathinapuri near Coimbatore. According to media reports, the man was under the influence of alcohol. The police suspected that the man unconsciously would have lit the beedi while lying on his bed and the lighter might have fallen on the bed, or he would not have put off the fire from his beedi which would have been the cause of the fire. Reportedly, the neighbours saw the smoke emerging from his house and put out the fire. The man's body was charred in fire and was declared brought dead to hospital.
