DMK President MK Stalin on Saturday called for a state-wide protest against the ruling AIADMK government. Stalin announced that the protest will be held at various district headquarters in TN against the ruling government.
Stalin mentioned that the protests will be held with the aim of targetting the misrule of the government. Stalin also added that the protest demands the dismissal of Health Minister C Vijayabaskar and Director General of Police (DGP) TK Rajendran, for their alleged involvement in the gutkha scam.
DMK will reportedly stage their protests on September 18. Reportedly, Congress has also called for a national bandh against the rising fuel prices on Monday, to which the DMK, MDMK and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) have extended their support.
