Privilege committee of the TN assembly reportedly issued a notice to the DMK party leader Stalin and 21 MLAs for violating assembly rules. According to media reports, the DMK party members on July 19 brought the banned substance Gutka into the assembly and questioned the ruling party for not taking any action against it. The assembly speaker Dhanpal reportedly at that moment did not ask anything but changed his view after Chief Minister Palaniswamy spoke about the issue.
