DMK FUNCTIONARY SUSPENDED FOR WELCOMING MK AZHAGIRI

With late DMK veteran M Karunanidhi's son, MK Azhagiri's rally coming up on Wednesday, DMK seems to have given a strong message to him. A DMK functionary was reportedly suspended on Tuesday, hours after welcoming Azhagiri at the Chennai airport.

The party functionary, Ravi was suspended by DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan. Anbazhagan, in a release, stated, "Ravi is being suspended from the DMK for bringing disrepute to the party."

Despite the strong message, Azhagiri's side seems pretty confident in getting readmitted into the party. Azhagiri along with more than one lakh supporters will rally in Chennai on September 5.
