COVID-19 IN TN TODAY: POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS, AND RECOVERIES AS ON AUGUST 09!

Tamil Nadu on Sunday, August 09, reported 5,994 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 53,336.

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 1,79,247/ 1,17,625/ 29

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –129 (61 govt. and 68 Private)

- Total number of samples tested till date – 32,25,805

- Total number of samples tested today – 70,186

- Total number of persons tested till date – 31,09,708

- Total number of persons tested today – 68,179

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,38,638

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,020

- Total number of deaths today / till date – 119 (34 Private and 85 Govt) / total 4,927
