A couple was held by police near Coonoor for allegedly trying to kill self outside a national wide run bank. Reportedly, the duo poured Kerosene on their body and tried to burn self. The couple decided to take the extreme step because the bank denied giving education loan even after submitting all the required documents for their daughter who was pursuing Hotel management. According to media reports, the parents have been approaching the bank for last five years. The police have registered a case.
