Home > News Shots > Tamil NaduThe Madras High Court on Thursday, approved the Tamil Nadu Doctor’s new Corona cure medicine to be presented to the Indian Council of Medical Research.
Petitioner Doctor Vasantha Kumar from Krishnagiri, submitted an article on the use of ‘beta-adrenergic blockers’, medications used for reducing blood pressure in patients for the treatment of COVID-19. He examined the nature of the coronavirus and its effects on the human body and said that this medicine is a possible cure for it.
In his article he has proposed that these blockers might be beneficial in coronavirus patients with hypertension co morbidity, by regulating the blood pressure and decreasing SARS-CoV-2 Cellular entry.
Hence the doctor has claimed that the symptoms will stop and that the medicine will not allow it to develop into a fever. He added that the medicine will be highly beneficial to the poor as it can be sold at a meagre price of Rupees 2.
Hence Justices Vineet Kothari and R Suresh Kumar directed him an opportunity to present his case to the ICMR.
