The Madras High Court on Tuesday reportedly directed the Election Commission to complete the RK Nagar bypoll by December end. Noting that it’s going to be a year on December 5 since the Assembly constituency went vacant following the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, the court rejected the Commission’s plea seeking more time to conduct the bypoll. The EC had informed the court that the names of 45,000 voters have been removed for the RK Nagar constituency.
