CM Palaniswami orders release of water from Vaigai dam following protest

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday reportedly ordered to release water from Vaigai dam from November 21 to 27 for drinking water needs of people of Melur and Thirumangalam. Earlier, farmers staged a road roko in Madurai-Trichy highway by creating Samiyana on the road. Transportation was suspended for at least 30 km, reports added.
