Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday reportedly announced the revised salaries and pensions for government staff. The minimum wage for government staff will be Rs 15,700, while the maximum will be Rs 2,22,500, say reports. The pensions for retired staff will reportedly range from Rs 7,850 to Rs 1,12,500. The gratuity limit has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, say reports. Further, the Anganwadi workers will reportedly receive a minimum salary of Rs 3,000, while the maximum will be Rs 11,000. The 7th pay commission’s recommendations will be implemented from 01.10.2017 with monetary benefits, say reports.
