Home > News Shots > Tamil NaduCurrently, lockdown along with few relaxations has been imposed across Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami held discussions with district collectors on Wednesday.
Reportedly, this lockdown is likely to remain in place till the end of August. While introducing further relaxations was considered, official sources reiterated that malls, public transport as well as cinema halls will remain closed.
“With Covid positive numbers growing in the districts, the lockdown is likely to be continued beyond July 31, when the present lockdown comes to an end. Some more relaxations could be considered, but controls over public places and public transport will remain till at least next month,” the Times of India cited a govt. official's quote.
