What looks like the biggest metro station in Chennai, the one built near the Poonamallee high road will reportedly have more than 60 staircases, 35 escalators, and 15 elevators. The station will also have a complex maze-like structure and is framed into a match-box shape. It has been spread across 3 lakh square feet and will have 50,000 square feet space for food and entertainment. The station will have five entry and exit points - Central Railway Station, Moore Market Complex and Park Station. It will be open in the next couple of months after enough trial runs.
