A youth named Madhan Kumar was hacked to death following a dispute over placing a banner in Sathyamurthy Nagar near Teynampet in Chennai. He had erected a banner at a place, where members of a political party and a fan club of an actor erect banners, for the wedding of his friend named Martin. When the members of the political party argued over the banner, Madhan assured that he will remove it in the evening or the next day.
However, he didn’t remove the banner. The political party members barged into his house and started to attack him. Madhan began to run and a gang of eight persons slashed him with weapons and left him in a pool of blood near the banner. After they fled the spot, friends of the killed youth arrived and damaged the vehicles of the killers. Later, police took them into custody. Police have filed a case and launched a hunt to nab the killers.
