CHENNAI TO RECEIVE LIGHT RAINS FOR NEXT FEW DAYS

According to reports, Chennai will remain cloudy for the next two days with light rain over a few parts of the city.

The meteorological department also stated that the southern coastal region will receive moderate rainfall due to a low-pressure system forming in the Indian Ocean. S Balachandran, deputy director general of meteorology, Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai reportedly said, "The low-pressure system will move south in the next twenty-four hours, limiting chances of rainfall for the City."

This is definitely not good news as Chennai has been facing a 50 per cent rainfall deficit this year. The low-pressure system is expected to bring a cooling effect to Chenna, maintaining the temperature in the mid-20s.
