The Chennai Meteorological department has announced that there will be heavy rainfall in parts of Tamil Nadu as cyclone has been formed. Pondicherry and Chennai will receive heavy rainfall in most of the areas in the next 24 hours. The South monsoon rainfall recorded from June 1 to August 24 is at 23cm, which is 30% more than the regular level.
