Chennai to get integrated command cell soon

Representatives of various State government agencies on Monday reportedly brainstormed features of a centralised control room for Chennai. The control room will help coordination of all key government agencies from MTC to Metro Water. It will also enhance everyday municipal operations of disaster management such as traffic management, fire tender management during disasters. Reportedly, the command and control centre is expected to analyse data from almost every government department to improve overall governance.
