Rains for the past 24 hours in Chennai have brought instant relief and joy to the residents. However, despite the joy from the rains, it has caused some problems as well. Many have reportedly complained of waterlogging in some areas. Traffic too has been at its peak in some areas.
It has been reported that Chennai can expect rains for the next two days after which there is a possibility for a dry spell in the city.
From June 1 to July 11, both TN and Pondicherry have received a total of 86 mm rain. This quantity, according to the Chennai Meteorological Department is 27 times more than the usual.
