THIEF STEALS 960 GRAMS GOLD TO START OLD AGE HOME

The police arrested Sekar, a small time thief in Tiruverkadu for stealing from residents of Nolambur. Reportedly, for the past two months, Nolambur residents were facing a lot of robberies and so, complained to the police. The police went through CCTV footages and finally arrested Sekar.
Upon investigation, Sekar admitted to stealing nearly 120 sovereign gold from six houses. He alleged that he wanted to start an old age home and hence stole to fund his initiative. He reportedly bought a piece of land near Thiruvallur district to build the home.
The police could only retrieve 50 sovereign gold from the thief. Sekar was brought before the court and was requested to be kept under police custody to retrieve the remaining stolen goods.
