CHENNAI: SUPERMARKET STAFF BEATEN UP FOR STOPPING COP FROM SHOPLIFTING

Pranav, an employee of a supermarket in Chennai was allegedly beaten up after he stopped a policewoman from shoplifting on Wednesday, reports India Today.
The employee had asked the policewoman to return the stolen goods, which was caught on CCTV and to write an apology note. She later returned to the store with her husband and a few others and attacked the employee and others who tried to intervene.
Following the incident which has caused much embarrassment to the Chennai police, the woman cop has been suspended while her husband was booked on charges of intimidation.
It wasn't long ago when a traffic constable Ilayaraja brutally thrashed a youth for not carrying original RC documents.
