CHENNAI STUDENT DIES IN CRASH WHILE RETURNING FROM BIRTHDAY BASH

According to reports, a final year undergraduate student died on the spot after the car he was travelling in hit an electric transformer on the road near Kanathur on East Coast Road. The  incident took place on Wednesday when the Vigneshwaran, along with five others, was returning to Chennai after after celebrating his birthday at a resort at Kovalam.

Police reportedly said that when the six undergraduate students were on their way to the city at around 11.30 in the night, the driver lost control of the car while taking a sharp turn.

Five others including Nithya Ganesh (21), who was driving the car, escaped with injuries. The other injured were identified as Narayanan (20), Vetri (21), Renix (21), and Balasubramani (20).
