Senior journalist and political critic Gnani Sankaran passed away at the age of 64 due to health issues, in Chennai. He was reportedly undergoing treatment for kidney ailments in the past few years. Unfortunately, he experienced suffocation and died on the way to the hospital, at 12.30am on Monday. Reports say, his body was taken to his residence at KK Nagar to perform the last rites.
