Rotten meat being supplied to eateries in Chennai's busy area seized

According to a Puthiya Thalaimurai report, several kilograms of rotten beef were seized near Chintadripet in Chennai on Sunday. Earlier, complaints were raised about rotten meat being transported from northern states to the area, following which police were probing the matter. Based on a tip-off to police on Sunday morning, rotten meat which was transported via train from Andhra Pradesh and was being taken to Chennai in auto was seized. Investigations revealed that these rotten meats posed several health threats and were being supplied to some hotels in the city.
