Weather blogger Pradeep John on his social media page clarified that there won’t be heavy rain in Chennai. He also requested people not to spread or believe in rumors. He said, “The pull effect rain bands are falling over Pondy, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thiruvannamalai belt and it seems tomorrow too these regions will get pull effect rains. So people in this belt will get rains. So will Coonoor belt too”. He scrapped the rumors that said there will be heavy rain and a chance for another cyclone. For Kanyakumari and Nellai people, he said, there will not be any heavy rain as the cyclone ‘has gone’. For Chennai, in another post, he said. “It will be cloudy at times and not much chance or rains”.
