The Chennai Press Club has reportedly stated that they demand an apology from actor-politician Rajinikanth for addressing reporters without any respect on Wednesday. Rajinikanth had addressed the media at Chennai Airport after arriving from Thoothukudi.
Rajinikanth spoke furiously and was even seen snapping at the reporters. When asked how he knew about the presence of anti-social elements in the Thoothukudi protests, he refused to answer and got visibly angry.
The Press Club reportedly said that it is the duty of the reporters to ask questions and let the answers be known to the public. They condemned Rajinikanth for threatening the reporters for doing their job. Reportedly, they have announced that if Rajinikanth does not apologise, they will protest.
