City Traffic police will reportedly take action against the police officials also if they are not wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. According to media reports, Commissioner AK Vishwanathan said that severe actions would be taken against cops if they are driving without a helmet. Allegedly, two police officials were fined in Chennai for not following the rules. The commissioner also said that public can share pictures on social media if they find any cop not wearing helmet while driving.The state government recently put down rules that two-wheeler drivers should wear helmets and a strict order was passed that the commuters should carry original driving license.
