CHENNAI POLICE COMMISSIONER DENIES PERMISSION FOR FARMERS’ 90-DAY FAST ON MARINA

After farmer leader Ayyakannu filed a petition to permit him to hold fasting for 90 days in the Marina beach, Chennai, the city Police Commissioner reportedly denied the same in his counter-affidavit filed in the Madras High Court on Thursday.
Ayyakannu reportedly wanted for permission to hold hunger strike for 90 days on the Marina to urge the Centre to constitute the Cauvery Management Board (CMB).
