CHENNAI: MEDICAL STUDENTS’ LETTER TO HEALTH MINISTER ALLEGES SEXUAL HARASSMENT BY PROFESSOR

Post graduate students at the Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital in Chennai have allegedly written a letter to Tamil Nadu health minister C Vijayabaskar alleging sexual harassment by teaching doctors. The students have alleged that Dr Vijaya, professor of obstetrics, and anesthetist Dr C Karthikeyan and Dr Roshan sexually assaulted students and picturised them. The alleged letter further said that Dr Vijaya threatened them saying, “even health minister is in my hands.” The students have also threatened to commit suicide if they don’t get justice.
