CHENNAI MAN POISON’S HIS OWN CHILDREN! – POLICE REVEAL CHILLING DETAILS!

In a rather shocking incident, a resident of Chennai almost managed to kill his entire family and himself. Ever since the beginning of this year, the man was unable to support his family as he had had financial troubles. In order to end their misery, he attempted murder and suicide.

Santosh Kumar (58) was from Kerala. He resided with his wife and children at Urapakkam. “Left without a steady income for the last five months, Santosh struggled to meet his family’s expenses,” said a police official. “He did a few odd jobs but it was barely enough to meet their expenses. Initially, his neighbours helped him out but that eventually stopped.”

Unable to handle the situation, Santosh Kumar on Monday evening, purchased soft drinks. He laced it with pesticide. He then gave it to his children and wife post which he consumed it himself. “His wife Sumathi was suspicious with her husband’s behaviour. She did not drink the beverage. Soon, the children started vomiting and collapsed,” added the police.

The neighbours immediately came to aid the family. They rushed the children and Santosh Kumar to a private hospital in Potheri. The children were then shifted to the Institute of Child Health in Egmore.

The children are currently under treatment in the ICU. However, Santosh Kumar died.
