A house owner in Chennai’s Kundrathur region was chased and stabbed to death by his tenant. This incident is said to have taken place after the house owner asked for rent.

Ajith, a youngster was residing as a tenant in Gunashekar’s house at Kundrathur. Due to the on-going pandemic and the unprecedented lockdown which began in March, Aith was unable to pay his rent. Four months’ rent was due. When Gunashekar asked for the due to be settled, the two broke into an argument.

Infuriated Ajith, chased Gunashekar and stabbed him to death.

A police complaint was filed and the police officers immediately arrested Ajith for murder. The officials have also started interrogations. Charges have been filed and the accused will be presented at court soon.

This incident has shocked house owners across Chennai and has also instilled great fear.
