According to reports, students of Madha arts and science college in Tharapakkam area near Kundrathur sat in protest alleging high fees by the college administration. Alleging lack of basic amenities such as food, drinking water and toilets, the students reportedly said the college fines Rs 100 - Rs 300 for taking leave. They also alleged that the college demands a fine of up to Rs 5,000 for late payment of fees. The students disbursed after the administration assured them of action.
