CHENNAI: COLLEGE STUDENTS DETAINED FOR CREATING RUCKUS

Police are questioning around 100 students from colleges in Chennai for creating a ruckus on Monday when the colleges re-opened after summer holidays.
Students of Presidency College burst crackers at the college entrance and also caused inconvenience to people. Following the commotion, the police rushed to the spot and chased the students away. They also seized crackers from them.
In another incident, police detained four from Flower Bazaar area near Broadway. They were wielding weapons, which were seized by police.
Police also warned around 30 students from Nandanam Arts College and five from Guindy who were involved in the ruckus.
